Oh ....what an event.........
I have to start by saying it was a privilege to be grouped with such fine machinery and people. What a great group!!!!!! We are ecstatic to say we took first place. Day one comprised of 45 degree RTI , turning radius, engineering and sand drags. A bit of a slow start but nice to see everyone get into it. The second day included the rock crawl and tank trap which were the biggest points. The courses were tough. Kudos to the set up crew. What a great job. We were lucky by drawing last in the rock crawl but that was gone when we drew LAST for the tank trap. Talk about a course change. By the time we got there the stairway to hell had a 44" bogger going under the bottom log. Very ,very difficult. Since we had a lead in the other events we decided to play safe in the tank trap and just finish the course for the win. Dr. Dave had an unbelievable run and first to go in the trap. Taradon's rear steer was awesome. Mechano's S-10 performed so well. Any truck in attendance was a serious contender as we soon found out. The carnage was real for many of the trucks. I would like to thank the volunteers ,staff , competitors, organizers and sponsors for a FANTASTIC event. It was very much appreciated. We pulled off the first event of this kind in CANADA. Everyone one involved, deserves a huge pat on the back. You guys ROCKED!!!!!!
Look forward to an even better XTREME SHOWDOWN competition for 2004.

Our carnage consisted of two bent front links and one sidewall slash on the bogger. I can tell you we got off easy. There was major carnage on many of the trucks.
