The Greatest Red neck show on Earth........HRC 2008

The time has come and gone....It was a glorious weekend the anticipation was enormous.
We loaded up and drove to the great little village of Alix Alberta.
Theresa had all her camera equipment charged and ready to go ....the back pack was huge...Luckily she is an x-bodybuilder.... wave.gif .
Steven was the motivator by far to get the old rig to HRC,,,
The Track looked wild and crazy .
We were divided in two classes pro mod and unlimited ...the unlimited were to do the hill climb off camber section first.
So off went the first rig ,,,Elan with she rockin` well I know this rig ,we named it Velcro in the past.
She climbed the hill and rolled as she crossed the off camber section ....We were all in awe ,bad roll ,big damage, She was shaken` but not hurt ....
We were all wondering if the little buggy we know as Velcro rolled ..man we are in deep trouble
so all the next rigs crossed the off camber section very slowly ,because the first out is always the hardest,,yes there were a few more roll overs but no one got hurt.

The next hurtle was the trench " tank trap "section no one but the miracle moon buggy of Jamie Colbert finished the course and to rub it in the wounds of everyone a victory donut was displayed KOOL!
Good job Jamie......
It was so nasty even Clayton's 54" disappeared from sight...

The knight wasn`t happy it wasn`t running great ..I drove the track with out rolling it no damage and was in contention
Perfect ready for Sunday...where everyone is now ready for battle....of course no one sleeps well before the battle ....LOL
Friends of mine came, and even tried tuning the engine thinking it was timing..we are ready we thought????
Steven and I jumped in the rig and down to the track we go ...sunburn`t and all.
We enter the track and I tried to giver but the engine was stumbling not accelerating at all????????????
Back to camp ....
We discovered it was the fuel pump .....she was tired no more it said....People were donating pumps but I had no 1" reducers to adapt to the smaller pumps everyone had ....bummer...
Steven and I tried ...we took apart the fuel system prefilter pump post filter etc...But no luck.. bummer.
We also discovered the fuel pump block off plate was backed off quite a bit.. leaking oil ...in one way we were lucky we didn`t run the engine all day like that....$$$$$$$$$
...so we heard our name come and go ....we were a no show.... very disappointing...
I heard TCB ( Mike Roberts had some bad luck...I got a chance to catch a bit of the scorr trucks ...which I heard from Mike that we were allowed to run with .
I really wanted to run with them
Speed bumps and jumps (I am sick to my stomach)Wanting to race but can`t
Curtis Warner, aka: Fl yin' Zucchini Brothers was giving her a run in the wheel to wheel missed the turn and rolled badly , they were not hurt but the rig was ...
So we saw Mikes girlfriend Alisha( hope I spelled that right)...in camp she told us that Mike broke all his axles and pinions spin.gif sorry Mike I had to leave ..Theresa was burn`t to a crisp we thought best to load up and get some relief
Said bye to as many as we could and into the air conditioned truck homeward bound ..did I mention how hot it was ?????
I will try to post up more details ...but now I must start the clean up process LMAO
Thanks to all the High Riders ,Tek head &Kevin for allowing this old fart to come and run again
Thanks Eric for cutting off wires on your rig to try and get the knight up and running
Cheers for now..
Robin
