"MONSTER TRUCK SHOW-FEB.22/2002"

It was Monster truck time in Calgary and there was no way I was going to miss it. The trucks that showed this time were Gravedigger, Medusa, Captain America, Maniac, Jurassic Attack and Wild Thing. Three American and three locals. Charlie Pauken was driving Gravedigger. Never heard much about this guy , so wasn't expecting much. Well, I was wrong. He put on a hell of a show. He can certainly drive a monster truck- no question about it. Wicked air, took first place in the freestyle. I never saw Medusa before. Wow, this chick can drive. She was the only truck that did a sky wheelie the length of the stadium. I am pissed off I didn't get a pic of that. She kicked ass and took second place in the freestyle. The rest of the trucks also put on a good show. 

We had awesome seats (club seats-third row up). Ended up being almost beside the jeep club box. Saw quite a few familiar faces from the off road community. 

The street warriors also put on a great show. Lisa did great with her jeep- Still Miss Behavin. In the first bump she hit hard and took some air but recovered nicely and ended up taking third place, so she is definitely in the Sunday finals. Dean folk and the hooters truck put on a show  as expected :). He shot over the cars- good jump. Too bad the drive shaft busted. I would have loved to have seen him again. Now these two girls were sitting beside us. This was their first Monster Trucks Show. A toy Gravedigger was thrown up and they picked it up. They gave it to Jennifer, my daughter. Jennifer slept with it. Thanks guys- you made her very happy.
