"Alberta Safari Tough Trail Challenge"

We attended the Alberta Safari Tough Trail Challenge this weekend -Aug. 28/04. It is the only private off road park in Alberta. We should consider ourselves lucky that Lee opened this park as we have no clue where our trails will be 10 years from now. We had an excellent time shared with some good trucks, good people and challenging trails. A total of 23 competitors showed from all over Alberta. The morning started by pouring rain which only made the trails greasier. The Mud was like cement. The trails set out were excellent. We were in the front of the pack so we weren't able to see all the action , only the few around us. It was a different kind of competition. It wasn't about the fastest time but about picking the right line the first time ; if you backed up or winched you received an X...The least amount of X's would win.... . We had a full 9 hours of trail riding. We had a blast. The results ended in a four way tie for first place. Ourselves, bigtoyfreak, a zuk on nitrous and  Mark's  jeep. We weren't able to use our nitrous because a micro switch broke. Thanks to Mark of Rocky Mountain Off Road and Neil for helping us out with that.
