"Three Hills Bog-June 2, 2001"

We had a great day at the bog. Nice weather and a good turn out, 41 trucks, I believe. The knight, wolf359, Al white, Darrin Kuntz are a few of the trucks we were competing against that we knew.

There were 10 entries in our class. Both Robin and I entered as drivers. On the first run, I ended up driving first (a disadvantage). Robin ended up having the best time of everyone. Damn, I shoot have hit that throttle harder :), but this was the first time I drove the new truck and I wasn't completely comfortable yet. Robin drove on May long and the truck broke before I had a chance to test her out. Wolf359 also had a good run.
They watered down the pit and dug it out some more for the second run. It was nastier. This time the line up was reversed ,so Robin went ahead of me. I hammered the throttle and was really doing well but hit a wall of muck that completely blinded me and so I let go of the throttle towards the end of the pit. I couldn't see a thing.
Even so, I beat Robin's time on the second run but not enough to beat him over all. I guess I'm going to have to say "I'll get you next time :)"
Wolf 359 had a good second run until he drove out of the pit but was able to bring it back. He was in need of steering adjustments.

The pit was about three or so feet deep with a length of about 200 feet.
Robin's winning time with the knight was 13.13 seconds.

It was a lot of fun watching all of the trucks compete.

I'm pretty happy to say that the Knight took first place in the X Class.

Want to thank W Dave 40 for taking all these pictures for us while we were racing. :)
