"Hooter Father's Day Show N Shine"

For Father's Day we went to the Hooter's Show N shine. All proceeds were
going to a children's charity so we'd decided to be a part of it. There were
only two 4x4's (Dean's Hooter's truck and the White Knight) that showed but a
lot of gorgeous and different kind of cars. I'd estimate over 150 vehicles were
showing their stuff with many more spectators to help support the cause. After a
day of looking at all the cars, answering many many questions about the truck
and eating and then eating again at Hooter's there was a melt down. Fun to
watch. Five bucks to place your bet on how long the car would last. For those of
you who don't know what a melt down is, it's basically having the throttle full
on, on a car that has been drained of its oil. Then placing bets on how long it
will last before it disintegrates. Quite a few people bet on this one.
Unbelievably the car lasted 5 minutes and 55 seconds. The last one I witnessed
only lasted 27 seconds. Dean Folk won this one but gave the winnings to the
children's charity. Good guy.
A fun and relaxing day.
