"Moab-2006"

We decided to visit Moab again in 2006 because we had so much fun last year.!!!! The weather this time really co-operated. It was soooo hot, we loved it!!!!!!We met up with Brad and T-Rex from the 2004 TTC competition. Visited the 4x4 expo...lots of cool stuff..the lovell box, the stak box......We played on potato salad hill...now that's an interesting site........lol........We decided to try and compete in the XXRA which was taking place at the end of the week.....It sounded very interesting ( baja style rock racing ) We expected the course to be much more open than it was. It was extremely tight for a truck our size. The moon buggies dominated. It was fun to try but it's too bad we had some bad luck right away...On one of the obstacle we broke a knuckle, the ring and pinion  and twisted the splines on the short axle...Ouch!!!! Getting the truck off the course was challenge. Robin attempted to find another knuckle  etc so they could give it another go but it just didn't work out. Thanks to the Austins' for their help. Brad was co-pilot and Brad and Dave were there in the pits helping out. Also thanks to Judy for helping out with Jennifer. Thanks to Andy at the Moab 4x4 outpost for coming through with a knuckle ( too bad we found out later that other things were toasted on the rig ). I did get about 5 or so hours of video which I will go through later....right now I am training for a bodybuilding competition :).

Below are some of the pics taken and sent to us.
