"Race City's last days"

Sadly, we attended the last couple of events at race city here in Calgary these past couple of weekends. Seems as though the government doesn't believe having a race track in a city with over one million population is necessary. They are using the land for a landfill.... never mind the fact that there is other available land that could be used ...next door as a matter of fact... They are shutting the only race track in town down....for good. I can only anticipate the future street racing that will take place and the lives that are going to be put at risk. It makes me shudder. Where will everyone go? It is just plain stupid.. No fore planning to replace the track has been made... Some people need to take their heads out of their ass. How could you let this happen????????

We spoke with many of the drivers and volunteers.... wow.. what a great bunch of people... The mood was sad but as everyone was the for the last time.
