"Sept Long 2001 at Ken and Lisa's Acreage"

There was a fire ban and some forest closure for Sept. long so Dave, Clint, Rob and I decided to visit Ken and Lisa. They have acreage with a personal little play area. A really nice set up. We figured we would also tune the truck up at the same time (thanks Clint). Robin went first, found a nice area and got stuck. He tried getting out and had a hard time. All of a sudden Dave and Robin open their doors and smoke bellows out. One of the wires melted and started a fire. Interesting start. Clint winched Robin and Dave out. They fixed the wiring mishap and I took the Knight. Dave hoped in with me. Did the pass and made it without problem. Just so that Robin wouldn't say it was a lucky run I did it again. Theresa 2, Robin 0 ( he he). Liked having Dave as a co-pilot as he egged me on. Ken and Lisa went through the bog also. Ken took a good run at it. There was a dip at the end and he took some nice air (Lisa had the seatbelt marks to prove it). Ouch!! A couple of others showed up and played in the mud with all of us (Jimmy and friends) Everyone was having a pretty good time. Rob took the truck again and tried the run fro the other side (a more difficult entrance) He got stuck and yes he had to get pulled out (by a Bronco non the less) The mud was so gooey. It would ' t clean off the tires and made them like slick. Well, then I told Rob, it's my turn and yes I made it through. You gotta pick the right line hon. HAHA. Robin 0, Theresa 3. There was so much mud flying a large clump landed on my head as I was driving. We then had a barbeque (thanks Lisa) and a fire by the house. The fire ban was from Calgary west. They are east of the city. It was great!!!

Want to say a big thanks to Lisa, Ken and Kimmy for their hospitality. Make sure you check out their Website at
Lisa and Ken's Jeep Stuff Website
They have some nice jeeps. One of their jeeps recently made it to the cover on the Canadian 4WD mag.
